Who We Are
AOC Australia–New Zealand (AOC ANZ) is the peak professional association for Electromagnetic Warfare (EW), Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO), Cyber Electromagnetic Activities (CEMA), and Information Operations (IO) across Australia and New Zealand.
Established through the formal merger of the Australian and New Zealand AOC Chapters in 2025, AOC ANZ reflects a shared commitment to strengthening regional collaboration and amplifying collective impact in the electromagnetic domain. As part of the global Association of Old Crows, AOC ANZ connects Defence, government, industry and academia through conferences, professional development, and knowledge exchange to advance capability, readiness and innovation across the region.

We promote excellence in Electronic Warfare (EW) and Information Warfare (IW) through advocacy, professional development, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

We connect professionals and organisations with a shared purpose, fostering collaboration through events, seminars, and networking opportunities.

We contribute to strengthening Australia and New Zealand's readiness and resilience in the Indo-Pacific region by supporting innovation and capability development in EW and IW.
Board Nominations Open – AOC ANZ AGM 2026
Nominations are now open for election to the AOC Australia–New Zealand Chapter Board at the 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Serving on the Board is an opportunity to help shape the strategic direction of the Chapter, support its members, and contribute to the continued growth of the Electronic Warfare community across Australia and New Zealand. Members from a broad range of backgrounds and experiences are encouraged to nominate. Previous Board experience is not required.

What's the session about?​
This session will explore how AI-enabled command-and-control concepts can support intelligence fusion, operational planning, and decision tempo, while preserving human judgement, accountability, and command responsibility.
Matthew will also discuss the practical implications for Defence and industry as Australia continues to build sovereign AI-enabled capability, drawing on his experience in AI-enabled decision support, human-machine teaming, and national security.
